I’m pretty sure I saw long plywood advertised some where, but I can’t remember where. Anybody know where I can get 4 x 10 sheets of plywood?

In my area (so. cal.) I can buy it at my hardwood wholesale yard. Only comes in some faces of veneer unless special ordered. i.e., very expensive but useful for finish grades in sequential (flitch) grain pattern. Usually used to panel offices and board rooms. Fir is available for sheathing, same location.
I've heard that manufactured housing places can get OSB in up to 8' X 28' sheets. They slap it on the walls in big pieces to save labor.
Sure would be cool to get a piece that big and hoist it up on a roof. (-:
I've also seen 4X9 7/16 OSB for wall sheathing. I know it's available in central Illinois.
Why would you want 4X10 sheets? Will that work out for roof sheathing if you use them little black diamonds on the tape measures ???
Aren't all generalizations false?
I'm actually planning to use it for a tiled countertop. I have one long run that has a cooktop right in the middle and I'm trying to avoid having an unsupported seam. I'm probably being a little nuts, but it will make the whole thing easier.
save yourself a whoooooooooooooole lot of time and money by using standard size sheets. if your goal is a 3/4" thick plywood top, do it with two layers of 3/8" and stagger the seams. it will give you a stronger job with the extra plies anyway.carpenter in transition
Should I use adhesive or glue between the sheets?
Boatbuilders suppliers stock long sheets, but as far as I know they are mostly factory-scarfed products. You can get long shets of MDF, and waterproof MDF....maybe you can get long waterproof MDF, haven't looked for it.cabinetmaker/college woodworking instructor. Cape Breton, N.S
Use a construction adhesive which you can trowel on to ensure complete coverage. You can buy it in gallon cans and apply it with a notched trowel. You can also use construction adhesive from a big caulk tube as well. You can screw the plies together. Make sure everything is flat when you glue.
Do not use particle board as a substrate for ceramic tile anything. Too much swelling from just a hint of moisture.carpenter in transition
Quick
You can get partical board for counter tops in 10' long, should find it available at a decent lumber supply place.
I've never had any problem getting 10' ply.

No problem. You've already got the crane there for the trusses, anyway.
