Come on John, around here they can seldom get it right three days out... Although down there I guess predicting "partly smoggy" everyday except for the occasional 5" of hail would do it...
When I was in the Bay Area, the weather guessers claimed it was difficult to forecast because it was in a "transition zone", but they did a lot better there than do here in Portland in predicting when there would be a change in the weather. Of course, during this time of the year, if you want to be 90% accurate here, just predict rain for every day...
I have been meaning to chart there weather guesses but haven't gotten around to it yet. However, the few times I have happened to check, their forecasts 10 days out didn't seem to do too well...
as far as 18 months in advance.
My neighbour's "free" 18 month forcast immediately follows stepping out onto his front porch and blowing his nose into the bushes.
