I have installed low voltage lighting in cabinets. behind the face frames. The kind that you lay the wire in the track that they supply you and then you plug in the sockets that accept a 10 watt bulb. I have 8 bulbs in each cabinet and am using a 150 watt trans in each of the two cabinets. each trans will run only 80 watts total. I plugged one bulb to test the system and the light was very dim. does anyone know the the reason for this. Maybe a polarity problem on both the 115volt side or the low voltage end. please help
Thank You, LMC

Polarity shouldn't matter. If you are using a buck/boost transformer, it is possible that you have the wrong leads hooked up and you are getting lower than designed voltage. Or, you may have 24v bulbs on a 12v system. Or you simply have very low wattage bulbs.
It isn't on a dimmer is it?
There are no electrons! It is all made up. Don't believe it.
Electricity is made by GREENIES.
Bosn, Thanks for the suggestion. would that be the leads on the low voltage side? I did not check the bulbs out. I'll check it out in the morning. I had this moron kid at the supply house waiting on me. at first he forgot to give me the track for the wire. luckely I figure it out before I left. Its allways that last task that should take 1 hour but takes a day. Its not the end of world, With guys like you I know I can solve it.
Thanks Pal, Lou
