I installed a JeldWen patio door in 8/09 for myself. It has low-e2 glass and sdl both sides. It is foggy/obscured when sun is on it,but not on entire surface.Around the perimeter of each pane there is a clear area of 1/4 to 1/2″ which seems to be where the protective film was.Film was removed immediately upon installation and glass cleaned.Jeld-Wen,without looking at it ,said it was NORMAL,Cardinal glass could not explain it and offered no solution.Sent pictures to Jeld-Wen rep. who again did not offer to inspect it but again said normal.Has anyone else experienced this problem. They said it was normal for low e2 glass to do this, but if that were the case then all window and door companies using glass from cardinal would have this problem.

Is the fog on the middle (between the panes) or on inside or outside surface? Does it change with temperature?
it appears to be on both int.and ext surfaces and does not change with temp.In case I wasn't clear it is only when sun is on it ,otherwise clear, but still a major issue with me
I'm guessing you're seeing
I'm guessing you're seeing the coating on the glass. Either that or you need to clean the glass a bit better.
A sample grid was cleaned with everything up to and including acetone,as per Cardinal's advice.A jeld-wen rep.over the phone suggested that because this lowE2 is new ,the problem is new,but they are not advertising it.
