Lowes/Home Depot water heaters?

Anyone using Lowes or HD electric water heaters ? Everyone using them?
Some plumbers say they only buy from plumbing houses- AO Smith, State, etc , other plumbers say “they are all the same”.
A plumber might use a plumbimg supply house for being sure heaters are in stock and end of the month billing.

I've installed a few from HD, and can't say I've noticed any great differences between BB and plumbing supply. No comebacks yet on any of them.
They've all been in small commercial buildings, so I can't speak of any difference in efficiency/operating costs.
Lowe's sells State, some iwth a lifetime guarantee.
Shouting the word "NOW"
And you say, "For what reason?"
And he says, "How?"
And you say, "What does this mean?"
And he screams back, "You're a cow
Give me some milk
Or else go home"
You can get the model number and look it up on the net. The quality of insulation will vary by model number.
If you buy from Lowes, you'll deal over the phone with another entity if you have trouble... Lowes won't do anything but give you their phone number...
I know of an LP 40 gallon water heater that required a new thermostat.. they would send the new part, but YOU had to WAIT for it and then YOU put it in....want to do gas plumbing yourself?
Go for a Sears' model, they have a warranty the first year and come to your home to fix warranty problem... Be sure you asked any place you buy from how big or how many anodes it has....so the longer the tanks last.
