There's a constant source of clean water for you to use, and all you have to do is collect it.

Mine are Bosch, they come with a tube of special Bosch grease.
-- J.S.
Just bought a Bosch Rotoary Hammer last week. It came w/a tube of grease. I dont think there is a label on the tube but the grease resembles vaseline, at least it looks like it. If I were you i'd check at a tool store (not depot).
Thanks, I'll check that out.
When I got my Rotohammer (Bosch, used from the HD rental counter), the guy doing maintenance said "It's a Bosch. Lube it once a year". Ya, right!
I went to a regular lumberyard and bought a tube of Hilti grease. Every time I set a bit in the chuck, I put a little dab of lube on it.

Yeah I do the same. Every bit gets a little dab of grease. I just bought this tool, it was a little pricey, and the book said so(plus they gave me the grease).
I have an SDS model and I love it so far. I had to set some cement anchors yesterday and in the past had always used a regular hammer drill. What a difference with the rotary, it bored through effortlessly.
On Hilti guns we used a manufacturer recommended, don't remember if it was Hilti branded, grease. This was a thick molybdenum disulfide, moly, based grease. Said so on the label.
This stuff looked very much like a lot of other moly greases used on heavy equipment. Thick, sticky and grey.
Also great for making a mess. Right up there with anti-oxidant compounds used for making up connections with aluminum. A small blob will walk, seemingly, for miles. Always seems to happen when the HO has white wool or antique oriental carpets.
At that point you don't even bother explaining. Just quietly slink off, change your name and move to another state.
So be careful.
