Use the forum advanced search function: "Lumber Liquidators" will pull up plenty of hits...not all that many good stories.
Of course, if you don't use the search function correctly, you'll find out about copper pipes... :-)

They have a lot in common with Home Depot;
poor service
low prices
no delivery
poor service
unknowledgeable help
but if they happen to have what you are looking for the day you are looking for it, you are in luck

My sister in Orlando used them about six months ago and liked them but what does she know...lol.
Seems as Piff said.theyre a lot like HD.
I believe they work on a subcontractor basis so it'll be hit or miss for you.
Personally I'd use a tried and true floorinmg contractor that just does wood floors.
Heyyyy.what's happened to LUVDITCHBURNS????

The secret of Zen in two words is, "Not always so"!
The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.

bob,
I'm a firm beleiver in "you get what you pay for in life". That being said, if you don't mind taking a drive and picking out what you want yourself and trucking it back to your site, you might do well there. Are you installing it yourself? Looking at the prefinished products or the raw ones? Reason I ask, is that I know a lot of pro installers that don't like to install pre-finished flooring. If your not DIY, you may want to run it by your installer before making any purchases. On prefinished products, you are at the mercy of the tooling and don't have the benefit of sanding to establish a glass-smooth surface.
Basically, if you're doing your own floor, don't need much advice, like what you see there, and want to save a few bucks.... it could be a good fit for you.
Good posting. Thanks for your words of wisdom. I will be having it installed, and your comments on subs willing to work with pre finished are worth noting!

LOL.... looks like you forgot the letter "H" somewhere in your last word!

I'd modify that. Generally you get what you pay for. Sometimes you get less than you pay for. But you damn seldom get more than you pay for.
Didn't someone here say
"you get out life what you pay in minus taxes"?
