Hi everyone, a client of mine had some unfortunate circumstance hit him and now he is putting off his large addition for two years.
The lumber package is sitting in his yard and he wants me to store it properly so it doesn’t rot away.
Should all the lumber stacks be separated and stickered and then re-stacked? And how high off the ground should they be, maybe a foot?
I will double or triple tarp everything after i have it stacked, any other suggestions?

Any way he can sell it? It could be hard using framing lumber to build with after that long, agood percentage would be twisting, etc. Fir cures harder - to nail.
if you have to keep it, try to get a good 18" free air flow under it, and tent the tarps and plstic so as to shed water and not puddle it.
UV rays eat up plastic and polyethylene tarps after a year. Look for the heavier tarps with the silver side to show up to the sun
