"Suposedly sustainably harvested."Supposedly?!It is a hybrid tree developed thru genetic engineeering between eucalyptus trees and a tropical poplar or something fast growing there. The trunks can grow 60-80 feet tall in relatively short time and have a lot of the characteristics of the tropical woods we love to work with.

I have used it to make a wardrobe cabinet, has a read nice orange red hue. Machines real well and with ease. Use it in plywood and raw lumer form. I like it!
I used it as a substitute for mahogany on a fairly large book case and had trouble with considerable tear out on the end grain when I ran it through the shaper. I doubt if I will use it again.
