Hi All…..OMG we have a new platform…..so far, yeechhh….for what my opinion’s worth I need some help….my Makita impact driver has developed senility…..it will go into impact mode, but not willingly. No particular incident, just started out of the blue. Anyone here know why, what the prognosis might be, and so on…..

It just spins, or what? I've had Makita Impact drivers for years and the only issue I had with any of them was the weak batteries prior to switching to Li-ion
This might not apply but i had a Hilti hammer drill that i abused and after a big job it would be hard to get to hammer. Eventually it stopped hammering.
There is a part that wears out. Sent it in and good as new.
I didn't open it up. I charged it to the job/owner.
