I have a marble tiled Fireplace that the marble is coming loose. What kind of Mastic do I need to reset the tile and Grout. Nothing I’ve found so far talks about fireplaces and their tendency to heat up. Is there special Adhesive for Fireplace Marble?

Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

Yup, it's called thinset mortar. Depending on the type of marble you might want to use white thinset. If you poke around here http://johnbridge.com/index.html you might find some relevant information.

Thanks. My main concern was the heat associated with the fireplace. The original mortar just slipped out from under the tile.
