Can someone recommendan architectural type/grade of caulking and the source for the same. I have an approximately 3/4″ expansion joint in some exterior masonry. The caulking available from the local hardware store just doesn’t cut it.

You must use a backer rod to break any tendency to bond to a third surface.
Use high-performance non-sag polyurethane sealant -

This is a masonry tile roof. Do I still need a backer rod
I assumed you were caulking a masonry WALL.
Caulking a roof joint of some kind? Can you elaborate? Photo?Jeff
Thanks.
Sorry. no photo. This is a concrete tile roof on a newer home. Unfortunately the builder made a slight error and the roof slants very slightly to one side in just one area. We are in Denver Colorado. When the heavy snow melted it ran under the edge of the tile on the outside of the house instead of down the roof into the gutter. The home is newer but no longer under warranty. the best quick fix we can think of is to caulk the area where the water is running . The opening is approximately 3/4". Caulk would serve the purpose, but none of the caulks we can find would stand up to this. So looking for an industrial grade caulk that will stick to concrete roof tiles.
Thanks
Any caulk you use will need backer rod for a 3/4" gap. And it will not be a permanent solution. You need proper flashing, not caulk. That said, I don't understand your setup from your post. Is the gap between the tile and a wall, or somewhere else?
