Massachusetts has a new law requiring everyone to have health insurance, and for employers with 11 or more equivalent full time employees to offer it ( which includes paying at least 33% or $295/employee actual count(?)).
Suspect that most here in Ma don’t have more than 11 full time equivalents, but how are you folks dealing with this new law?
everyone is required to have a health insurance coverage, even if not offered by your employer.
I don’t know if it effects companies who are out os state but do work in Ma.
(I’m retired, but I see this subject, health insurance, come up from time to time. Have seen where other states are looking to adopt something similar.

From what I've heard, the new "system" already has problems. Not enough people are signing up to fund the new system. I also know a number of business's that are raising their costs as a result of this. Massachusetts is on it's way to becoming the most $expensive$ state in the USA to live in.
"Not enough people are signing up to fund the new system. "the way the law is written you must have insurance. if you don't you get hit on your income tax, things like no personal exemption. as an employer with more than 11 employeess you get hit with the $295/employee charge if you don't have a 125 plan (need to see site)less than, doesn't matter to employee they have to get their own insurance coverage.
