Metal banding for laminate countertops

I am an architectural designer in Charlotte, NC.
I have clients who want to use metal edge banding for their laminate countertops. I actually grew up in house with linoleum countertops with metal banding. The kitchen sink was under mounted with the metal banding around the sink opening.
I want to use the same setup as I grew up with. Does anyone have any experience doing metal banding and/or under mounting sinks in this way?
Thanks in advance,
andref

Here's a long shot, but look up some rubber roofing termination bar. Hey, it could work.
Check outwater.com or vandyke restorer. They have a bunch of wierd stuff.

Never mind the rim band for the sink...if you can find a source for the stainless edgeing & backsplash cove, I'll be one happy camper....I grew up with it too, I believe it to be the best value for the money countertop ever.....P-lam materials & fabrication are cheap & easy, & the stainless edging is both more durable & better looking than self edging....
I've been looking for it for years, & can't find a source....keep us posted....

yup, visited there in my web searches (suppose I should call them someday)...but what they show ain't what I want...which is that 1 1/2 tall stainless edging, & that little cove at the top to splash joint, that every carp. who has done kitchen remodels has thrown away tons of...thanks, though
Didn't realize this had been so long ago, but for some reason the post stuck in my head. When I came across this site below I had to dig up the old thread and pass along the link.http://www.barsandbooths.com/bandbmetalbanding.htmStill not sure if it is what you're looking for.
Well, yes indeed that was a while back. I've been to their site....it's close, but not what I was looking for. I thank you for the link, tho.....
They still make it. I looked for it. I think my laminate supplier referred me to a web site ... sure nuff ... there it was ... and now I can't remember who it was. Should be easy to find, though. I think I did some search under 'laminate edging' or some such and found several sources. Did this really post in '05??
