ok… i know this sounds stupid… but which way is up? has about a 4″ rib then a 2″ rib… the 4″ up would use less concrete and would have aprox 1 3/4″ of concrete above it… if i flip it then i have 1 3/4″ above the small rib but i have alot of 4″ thick concrete.. and alot of weight… these are stair landing built out of 4″ chanel aprox 43″ x 93″ the ribs run the short way….
thanks in advance

Pony,
I am guessing 4" up is what was intended. Best if you can get a manufacturers name and go to their website.
Does the plan or specs call for re-bar in the slab? Many do with pan deck..
Should find a PDF for archy's and engineers there, or installation manuals.
I've notched a lot of rock around pan decks. I agree with the other poster, 4" up.

Trust in God, but row away from the rocks.
