Just took a load of scrap iron in, got $45/ton, highest in PNW since 1950s counting inflaltion. Pull all the Al and Zn grills off car bodies now before scrapping also. <G>
Have bought every scrap of Cu wire at garage sales since prices started skyrocketing.
Guy retiring from furnace install business had a garage sale at home Saturday and had a 200 ft roll of 10/3 w/g for $5.00, 100 ft roll of 3/8 tubing for $5 — asked him if he really wanted to sell it for that as prices had gone up, he said it had been sitting out the whole day before and nobody bought at $8. So I bought it!
