I raised this question on another forum and may be putting on a corrugated steel roof myself fairly soon. Someone pointed out this outfit, that has install instructions on their site. You have to look a little bit to find them, go to 'residential' and then to 'corrugated' and then to 'technical info' I think:

I pre-drill the holes - slightly larger than the shank size of the fastener, so thermal expansion/contraction will not lossen them as soon.
Another good tip is to have a few of the C-mouth vise grip clamps. One at top and bottom opf the lap as you install helps hold in place while you install the fasteners. They also are a handy handle for hauling the sheet up a ladder.
