I’m remodeling an interior space and plan to use metal studs instead of wood. The logistics of this project makes steel studs preferable.. I think. I’m using regular wood *ignore* doors not, wrap-around metal jambs and also have to hang a fair amount of upper cabinets. Needless to say, I’m concerned about the strength of the studs. Previously I’ve screwed solid wood backing (2×4’s) where cabinets had to be & I guess I’ll do the same at the jambs. Is there any other suggestions?
