My Milwaukee radio crapped out – it is only about 3 months old. I have never dropped from 8′ onto concrete, in fact it has mostly stayed at home in the garage. Though the battery clock still works and I can’t see any breaks in the cords. It was only $55 at HDT, but its the principle. Tired of buying Chinese made junk and not having it last more than a few months.
Anyone know what the warrenty is for tha radio or if I can take it to a Milwaukee service center. Milwaukee won’t answer my email. They refer to it as an “accessory” not a tool, so I suspect it is considered a disposable… Thanks

Radio is 1 year from date of purchase.
Thanks, I did not read the fine print. Got a close quarter drill with torn up gears, so I will be dropping them off.
Welcome. I was going to chastise you and tell you to read the owners manual which I believe has the warranty in it. Figured if you had had it three months it could not be buried too deep. I went down to shop to look at my copy which I could have sworn was laying on a table two weeks ago and could not find it. But then I have had it for several years.
You might accidentally leave the bag in the truck/car when you take it back in case they just give you another one. My 23 ga pinner fits in the extra bag very nicely.
I am sure Mark at HDT would replace it but it is not quite fair to expect him to eat the postage. My first one died after being in the back of the truck and being caught in a torrential downpour but covered by some plywood. Second one working fine. Unfortunately I live in radio he11 here in the mountains.
I am pretty sure I tossed the manual in a cleanup; figured a radio can't be that complicated. The amount of paper associated with running a business, let alone just living day to day is phenominal. However, since you said the radio doesn't work in WNC and we might be moving down that way if my wife can find a job (with health insurance), maybe I'll move it to the end of my todo list....
Oh it works, but the stations are kind of limited in some areas. Getting a station 90 mi away is asking a bit much. There are a few oldies (60s/70s) that I like and depending on jobsite reception is poor. But that is the way it is in the car and home too. Even Sat radio has blank spots in some of the coves around here ( or so I am told). I am thinking about getting an MP3 or such and putting in the pouch and burning my own mix. It is too much trouble to change a cd.
Ever have any luck with an external antenna?
The radio is great but I have one station I like that is a little far and sometimes trying to pull it in is difficult, depending on weather conditions.
Just wondering if anyone's had luck with an external antenna.
If having a low wage work force was good for a country's economy then why hasn't Mexico built a fence?
I have had a little luck with a piece of mc cable sheath. It is a conversation piece anyway.
I'm not sure about the nooks and crannies but I just finished 6500mi all over the heartland to Va to Wisconsin and I only had one spot in SD that dropped for about 15 min.
Sirius brand. I cant' tell you how much I like it.
If You look at the time you take to tune retune fading channels and did I say the constant barrage of crapola adds.
If you like listing to ? go for it. Also you can do it pretty cheaply. If you look at how to do it that way. Very low radio cost and split the monthly cost between 2 or 3 people it brings it down.
I bought a new Milwaukee radio for the job, yesterday.I put it on the front seat of the van, and one of the feet fell off. Hope this is n't a sign of things to come. I did enjoy listening to jazz all day on it though.

I've had my Milwaukee for over 5 years - rained on, painted over, dropped from and onto. This thing is the first tool I unload and the last to leave. It keeps me going through the hard times and fires me up in the good. It sound way better than the Bosch or Dewalt. Love it better than Mcdonald's new bold coffee.
