Figure those articulated arms don't quite straighten out so you probably have another 3-4 feet (maybe 4-6'?) of lift in addition to the 8' (+/-) it's already up in the air... Sure would be nice for a roof tear off or loading new sheathing or shingles up to a roof (if not boomed).
The rig looks pretty big and heavy - access up close to the building would probably be an issue more often than not. Sure would be fun to try though (for you, not the landscaping)...
Would work great for moving a small garage. (Wouldn't even have to unbolt the garage from the sill first.)
In my old hometown, one of the roofers had a truck like that with a dump bed on it.
Whenever he had a two story to tear off, he'd drive up beside the house and raise the bed up to the eaves.
It was slick.

Since it's an aircraft loader, I'd guess that it lifts to about 16 or 18 feet maybe 20 tops.
