Joe Wood,
Saw your post in the Japanese arch post and your website.
I am planning on building a teahouse style in my yard (Mass).
Can you point me some where to help on details for the design? Your web site already is helping
the attachment is the “Soji” style fence we built

Hey Bobl !
Sorry for the late response, I missed your post and just picked it up.
Man, I've been looking all around for teahouse plans too and haven't really found anything but pics, no plans.
Here's what you can do though. Do a search for 'sukiya style', that will get you some interesting sites (this is what I used to call the Zen style). Be warned though, there is this Japanese porn star nicknamed Sukiya with great big t - - s who shows up in this search alot ! !
A real good site with lots of Japanese style resources is http://www.jgarden.org
And lastly, subscribe to the Journal of Japanese gardening, LOTS of good info there ! http://www.rothteien.com
If you find any real plans, please let me know. ~ Joe Wood

We have a Japanese Tea House here in the heart of Philly.
Here's a link http://www.shofuso.org
Last year they imported a crew of traditional Japanese roofers to redo the roof.
Hard to believe this place is in the City.
