I've had my multimaster a few months; can't remember how I lived without it.
Keep lots of spare blades for wood on hand.
Enjoy

Checked out the combo and stumbled across this. looks like a worthwhile improvement...and me with the "old" style... dang, never fails.
To Supercut owners; is this the mounting system on them?

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
nope

its bigger, because the head where it mounts has a piece they have to lock over, then the bolt that retains the blade screws down through the middle.
Watch the fabric bag for tears where the plastic lip folds over teh body of the vac. Mine has several rips there and dust gets inside the bag, without you knowing it, then clogs the final foam filter. Of course teh fine stuff gets thru that and can do some damage.
new bags are pricey.

Everything 'Fein' is pricey. Generally worth it, but still...

Thanks for the replies. Wouldn't you know I had to try and cut crown in place today and dig out some oak flooring . It ships the 16th. Oh well, I still have a 3 year old punch list on my house and most of it is begging for the Multi master.
You'll love the Multimaster. Actually, I've never used one for sanding at all. Use mine for cutting out pieces of hardwood flooring and undercutting door jambs a lot. Works good for notching stair treads out for newel posts. Latest trick I found is using it to cut through wood lap siding, for patching around windows & such. Just hold it against a speed square & cut away. A lot easier than a circular saw, for me anyway.n Watch for nails with those blades tho, they don't hold up real well on metal. I tried the blades sold on ebay, & they work fine and are a lot less $$.
Now all you need is the Fein random orbit sander to hook up to that vac & you'll be set!

Shipped yesterday, played with it until 11:oo at night and use vac on my table saw today, pretty impressed so far. Also used it to unplug one of my central vac lines.
Enjoy!
Mike
Oh so quiet and stable. Does look like a star wars thing.
