walking thru a new “used tool” store this week …
we found this little guy.
had been thinking about buying something similar … a little compressor … for kitchen/bath trim when the Thomas wasn’t really needed … looking for something way lighter than the 75lbs Thomas …
Saw this at one place for $100 … started thinking hard about it …
then … there it sat. Really good shape … marked at $42.
plugged it in … and it ran … and ran … and hissed … and hissed …
the owner of the shop couldn’t figure it out … I took a look and couldn’t find the leak … then DanteO stepped in and said … “hand me a flathead screwdriver and step back” … seems the needle valve was stuck. So he worked it open …
and it’s been working fine since. Have only tried to kill it later that day at lunch with the paslode framing nailer … haven’t tried to run any trim guns yet.
But I think I just found my solution to light-weight trimming.
thing’s pretty quiet too.
was looking at the small 1/2 and 3/4 hp Thomas’ … but couldn’t pass up $40.

forgot to say it only weighs around 25 lbs.
Here's my other little buddy that weighs almost twice that.

I thought you already had one of those. There was a discussion about 6 months ago.
I have a similar one, Task Force brand I think. Very handy for the brad nailer, works well with the 15 ga finisher. And it will power a framing nailer in a pinch.

Hey Jeff,
I bought the same compressor new for $100 or so. Although i'm not a contractor I am a self proclaimed tool junky / house remuddler / furniture builder. I figure at that price it's disposable.
I got mine for use in the house, quiet, light, doesn't pop breakers. I was shooting 2 1/2" 16 gage finish nails easily. A few here, a few there works great. But you can out run the compressor if you rapid fire.
It's real sweet for 18 and 23 gage stuff...
I've had one for a year or so. I love it. Didn't get it for $40.00 though.

Mazel Tov...I was thinking exactly that yesterday while trimming my upstairs bathroom. couldn't believe in all these years I haven't bought a pancake pressor or something similar. Soon come mon...soon come.
Be well
