Hi,
I need a new framing nail gun. My Senco SNIV and Paslode 5300 are getting hard to find nails locally for (yeah, they are heavy, too). Anyway, I was thinking of the Hitachi nr83, which a lot of the framers around here SF, CA use, but wanted thoughts from the guys with sawdust on their shoes.
Thanks,
Rich

Used to have a Senco Framepro. Loved it; got stolen. Now I have the Bostich N88RH. Love it. Plenty of power. Working on an older house this fall, had to nail 2x cleats to 10x3 existing solid oak joists (yes, solid oak joists -- surprisingly common in older houses in Phila.). Nails went in no problem.
They make the same gun for clipped heads if that's your preference.
