Hello,
Last year I reroofed the back of our 1963 ranch (replace some rafters and beefed up remaining, new deck, underlayment, and shingles). After the top course of the “good shingles”, I did a ridge cap made from tabs to get through winter. I’m starting on the front, so I pulled off the ridge cap. Now, I have a nail every six inches for 64 feet.
When I am ready to put on a final ridge cap, should I pound these nails down, pull them and fill them with a roof sealant, or pull them and not worry?
I still had snow on parts of the ridge less than three weeks ago, so I am concerned about moisture infiltration at the ridge.
Thanks,
Curtis

As long as the ridge cap will cover them, I'd just leave the holes.
Stick some roof tar in 'em if it makes you feel better about it.
