So………..it’s a long weekend and all the stores around here are closed. I need to run my Bostitch nailers tomorrow and have run out of oil. Anyone know of a substitute for the regular lubricant that I can use? Thanks.

Mineral oil.
Baby oil will do.

Thanks Luka. The drug store is open tomorrow and I'll be able to get something done. Thanks again.
You are welcome.Glad I could help. There will be some nay-sayers to come along, probably with a rote of chemical names, etc...But the truth is, what is in that baby oil bottle is virtually identical to the oil in the little plastic squeeze bottle you got with the gun.Well, they add a touch of antifreeze, to help prevent corrosion and keep the seals healthy...

"Butter?"......"PARKAY" "Butter?"......"PARKAY" LOL
I used olive oil once. BIG mistake. Mineral oil is best alternative. It will not rot in the gun.

Take a bit out of the compressor with a piece of wire, drip in guns.

BTW - it's not like they have to be lubed every time they are used. If they have been sitting for a long period it might be a good idea. Hate to admit it but I only oil mine every several months.
