Guys,
I just heard about a type of cement block that you can nail sheet rock to. It is supposed to be soft enough to cut places for conduit and boxes. They fill the cavities in the block for vermiculite for insulation.
Frankly, it sounds like a problem if you get any moisture in the block. Anybody have any experience with this?
Thanks
Frank

foil backed board. sheetrock comes in many different types lead backed for examp.and we normaly get away with joint compound on the block for glue and tension pins to hold till the glue sets.we do this only on interior walls that have been sealed though.and you cant get the board off that easily once the compound dries.
