I am currently bidding a finished basement. I was wondering if anyone out there could give me an average sq. ft. price for finished basements. Here is some information to tell you what am looking at. First off I am in the new York area in westchester county, the finished area sq. ft. area to be finished will be aproxx. 600 sq. ft. of floor area. I will sub the plumbing and the electrical but will overhead those prices by 20%. There isn’t a moister problem but I am going to waterproof the walls and floor. I will frame up the primiter walls with 2×4 and finish with drywall there will be a few additional walls to be framed along with some boxing in of duct work and I will sheetrock the ceiling. will use ridged insulation in the primiter walls and I will be insulating the ceiling for sound. There isn’t an egress problem that I have to address so I don’t have to cut in bigger windows or doors. I will not be including any finished flooring (carpet or tile). I will be triming with 3″ col. base and 2 1/4″ col. casing. there will be 2 commercial fire doors installed going into the garage area. I will have approx. 3 new electrical circuits and a loop of hot water baseboard. I will be painting.
I know its hard to be exact but I am from another area and was wondering what the going rate was in this area or in other areas of the country. I hope I have given you all the basic picture of what the job looks like. Any help with pricing will be appreciated.
