I am putting in a Shower in the basement and the drain location is such that standard shower pans will not work.
Is there a source for a custom made pan or does anyone have ideas on how to make my own ?

I have heard of a number of products used for custom pans such as epdm roofing, fiber glass, and polar systems roofing.
*??What is it, specifically, about the drain location that precludes the use of standard shower pans?
*b WBA At Your ServiceSteve, Check out or make your own with shower pan liner material available from your local professional tile supplier. One trade name is chloralloy.
*I have fabricated several custom pans from copper. Any decent sheet metal shop should be able to do the job.
*Taunton's Setting Tile book is a good source.I used it to help with the shower in our new house. But, after watching the TileRedi video, I did it the conventional way, I would go with TileRedi. The only problem I see is that it's offered in a limited number of sizes, so this may not fit your application.
*If you like solid surface materials, you can try your local Man-made marble suppliers, countertop manufacturers, even my Jetta tub dealer makes them.Good Luck,John
