…translucent corrugated plastic panels- not the kind used for greenhouse roofs and walls, this stuff is just like corrugated cardboard; around 3/16″ thick, smooth on both sides with a corrugated piece sandwiched inside. I’ve seen it at IKEA as panels in cabinet doors, etc. Google search only seems to bring up the aforementioned roofing panels.
If any of you have any information- what’s this stuff called? or, even better, a source, it would save my butt.
Thanks
Bill

Sign makers use a white version of it. One brand name used to be Cor-Plast or something like that. I've also seen the translucent version. I'd start by calling sign shops and art stores. Dick Blick art supply comes to mind. As I remember, it comes in different thicknesses. If you need a lot of it, you might get enough info from the phone calls to track down the manufacturer. For just a little, it would probably be easier to buy it from Dick Blick or one of the sign shops.
You almost got it. Coroplast http://coroplast.com/PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
jdarylh1 is talking about a sign material -- coroplast or plasticor (both trade names) but I don't think thats what you're talking about -- that stuff is wimpy, and you're looking for the actual glass type right? sorry I don't know either, but I thought I'd eliminate a bunch of posts referring you to the 2 abovementioned.
The stuff used in the IKEA cabinet door panels is plastic like the sign makers use. Still use the doors from the tall cabinet we had to keep Jack The Dog off the couch at night.
I've seen it at our local Menards.
happy?
If in fact you're looking for glass it's called "reeded" glass, and is available in tempered form for shower doors. Just ordered some. If you need a web addres, let me know...

I use something like that for my dog run roofs.
Its clear plastc both sides and has a box like spacer in-between.
Got it fro Agri-supply.
Pretty cheap and esy to cut and use.
Costs as much to ship as to buy due to the size (4x8 sheets) not weight.
I think it would also make great shop roofs, windows, etc. (Also great shower walls.)
Kind of whitish and 80% translucent ( they call it clear).

Thanks, everyone- Coroplast seems a bit pricey in big pieces- I need enough for panels in two bypassing closet doors- I think Solexx (for greenhouse glazing) is going to work for me at around $3 a lineal foot x 4' wide. Can be ordered from the potheads at my local hydroponics store...Bill
It is LEXAN ...pricey yes. http://www.farmtek.com has it.
