Need some Dakota Mahogany Granite Tiles
Hey All,
I need a source for a few (~6) 12″x 12″ Dakota Mahogany Granite tiles. Anybody have any extra lying around they’d like to get rid of for $$ or know of a good (not too expensive) source?

I have 9 pieces.
Those were about $10.50 sf + tax and shipping.
You anywhere near Jacksonville, FL?
Ralph,
What you paid is on the high side vs, what is available via the internet if I purchase a "case " of 12. On the other hand, if you could post a digi pic or two so I can see what you have, I might be interested. All I really need is a few pieces for a backsplash.Jo
They're taking up space waiting for the right project to use them on. Internet sales usually are a bit less. No showroom overhead to meet.
Still, you don't need a case of 12, do you?
Make an offer - include shipping - for the # you need.
Unless you can wait 'til Rhodefest, if you are going. Then shipping's free 'cause I'll have room in the car, I'm going that way anyhow and you can buy me a beer or two.
Don't know how you can tell from an internet pic but I scanned a corner of a tile to hopefully show the color and grain.
And another try
Ralph,
Thanks for the reply. The stuff you've got seems to have a coarser texture, but it's hard to tell because it was hard to judge the scale. I'm including a pic of what I'm trying to match.
Jon
Ralph,
Here's another pic now that the sun is up, taken in grey light. I have no problem sending a sample for a side by side to see how they compare.
Jon
Oops, forgot the attachment
Your pic looks alot like what I have. It's really hard to get the colors to match on the screen. Part of yours seems to have an orange cast to what would be the mahogany chips.
If you want to send a sample I'll e-mail my address through BT.
Also, if you can wait about a month, a friend is driving up that way to Door County. No charge for the shipping if he doesn't have to go out of his way.

Ralph, that would be great.

I'm in no rush right now. Just have a lot of free time right now, and DW wants me to finish all the 90% done projects around the house.
She works in an office about two blocks off I43 in Milwaukee, which is what one usually takes to go up to Door, so that might work. Does your friend have a cell phone?
Either way, right now it's more about tying to find a close match. I can order a case for $80. plus shipping, but no gaurantees that it's a close enough match. So I think what I'll do is just send you a small sample via the US Mail, and if you would be kind enough to send me a side by side pic, we can take it from there.
Thanks
Jon
Jon,
Is Dakota Mohogany the same as Crazy Horse? Crazy Horse comes from the Crazy Horse Monument next to Mt. Rushmore in S. Dakota.
