Need to build a gate

I need to build a gate and have never built one before, can anybody make a few good recommendations on some books to read first.

    Cheat - see this link.

    Sorry, no book recommendations. Most important is to have a diagonal member running from lower hinge corner up to outer top corner. Prevents the gate from sagging out of square.
