When deck posts exceed what the prescriptive code tables allow, it's time to consult a structural engineer for post sizing and possible bracing.

Last week I saw and tried out this drill at ElectricWest, the electrical trade show.
Saw it's little brother, too (a pistol grip style drill driver that uses the same battery).
Both are very light weight. Look pretty sturdy. Good torque for their size, but max RPM was pretty low (600 for the smaller, maybe 900-1000 for the right angle/convertible one.)
My impression--seem to be pretty good quality screwdrivers, with good balance and top performance to weight ratios. The RA one has a cool "soft start" feature, pul the trigger and the speed runs up in about a half second. Might make it easier to start a screw.
I'll probably get one of these when my DeWalt 7.2V screwdriver or it's batteries die. I've never been happy with the balance or ergonamics of the DeWalt, and it's pretty heavy for just a screwdriver.
The Bosch PR guy said that they expect to have the 10.8V tools out in time for Fathers Day. Makes me think that the tools are engineered and priced for the consumer, and so may not be up to the heavy duty that they'd get in pro use.
I'm waiting for fuel cell technology to become available for cordless tools, in the place of rechargable batteries. Give a battery-pack size fuel cell a squirt of alcohol fuel, and have 24 or more hours of run time at high output. No recharge time, just refuel and go.
I'd guess we're a few years away from having hand-held tool fuel cell technology available to consumers. Fuel cells wil cost a lot more at first, of course, like any new technology. Anybody remember the Amana "Radar Range", the first consumer microwave oven? Cost--over a thousand dollars (in the early '70s).
