Has anyone tried one of the new framing nailers from Bostich? They look almost the same except the housing is more round and not reinforced with gussets and corners. The HD man told me that they were made in Tiawan for Stanley and that is why they are $70 cheaper. But aren’t almost all guns made in asian countries anyway? I think the model # is N79WW-1. It is on sale a HD now for $250.

I dropped off my biscuit joiner at the repair shop to replace a knob that fell off. Rather than spend a dollar on postage to send me a new one, the policy is to send the entire machine to the central warranty depot for a complete inspection. I hope that they do perform an inspection and not just confirm that the knob is missing... Anyway, the purpose of this reply was to mention that the repair guy tells me that the sales rep tells him that Dewalt is planning a line of air tools for the end of the year. (3rd hand information) Although it doesn't help if you want one today, it may be a reason to delay a purchase until they come out.
*To quote a regular on this board , who lives by the stream....Great, now yellow air crap! Keith C PS , why wait, paslode makes a hell of a framer for only $289.00
*I personally like the Bostich N95 Round Head. The Paslodes have always jammed on me even with the Paslode nails
*Does anyone have experience with the Makita clipped head nailer? I'm thinking that it should be the next addition to my truck.Jon
*you may have building code compliance issues with a clipped head nails, depending on where you are. ...but construction attorney's like them (plaintiff side), there is argument that they are weaker than round heads.
