I bet you are all just sick of talking about nailguns, but here is one more. I moved to stockholm sweden three years ago and have been borrowing a compressor to run my little 18G brad nailer. I need to either buy a compressor and a 15/16G upgrade, or now I wonder if I should switch to cordless.
My choices are not as wide as back in the states, I can choose, the senco finishpro35, or air free25, or the dewalt DC618 or DC610, there is also passload, but i think that system is too much trouble to get into now.
one plus is i already run a cordless drill with dewalt, thats what got me thinking. Another thread talked about badly set depth on nails from dewalt guns….. what ya’ll think?

Says who?
Been using their "system" for years.
what i mean is i have the choice of two "systems" that I have already begun,
1. I have compressor based nail guns
2. I have dewalt batteries
ie. I don't have the passload "system", it just seems to me another group of tools of which i have none. You have had them of years, would you buy them now if you had the choices there are today. 5 years ago passload was the way to go. please convince me to buy the passload, i didn't mean to slam it!
Hey, welcome to breaktime, didn't see that was your first post.Anyways fill out your profile(click on your name and it willtake you to where you need to go)<1. I have compressor based nail guns>Is this for a hobby or ?. If it is for a hobby,I think senco sells a little hot dog compressor for around $100.00that should fill your needs.<You have had them of years, would you buy them now if you had the choices there are today.> Yes I would buy them again. I haven't seen anything that iscomparable to paslode.< please convince me to buy the passload,>How much money you got? See if there is a dealer close andgo try one out, that should convince you.< i didn't mean to slam it!>Man you can slam it all you want, it won't hurt my feelings none.:-)
this is for "pro" use, I am installing interior moldings, cabnetry, doors, etc. No stud framing, so I won't evern be buying a framing gun here. the dw battery gun seems to cost about 100 dollars less than the passlode, they have stoped selling the senco airfree here so that is off the list. The passlode is about 650+ here. for the 16g.
Price wise it is looking more and more like i will be going with the air.
any tips on a good compressor for indoor 15-18g gun use? Is hitachi stil the best these days?
anything better than the senco guns in the 15-18g range?
thanks for the help
Joel
Since you have been i Sweden for three years, I bet you know enough swedish to ask your question in a local forum, i.e. http://www.byggahus.se
If you are looking for a compressor, I would recommend http://www.drift-underhall.se
That´s where I got my DA E195-compressor, which I use to run a DW 51275K, 15 gauge finish nailer. I´m quite happy with the set up. I baught the gun from Amazon/US, though, and got a friend of mine in the states to send it by mail. Too expensive in Sweden.
tack mattias!
thanks for the tips. You are right my swedish is just about good enough to start looking for local forum, just a bit shy still I guess. What is your story, how did you end up at FHB from sweden, mattias I am assuming you are swedish not american and living in sweden....
I will have a look at the sites you mentioned. Where are you in sweden?

You are right. I´m swedish. I found Taunton when looking for litterature of fine trim carpentry. The swedish carpentry litterature is usually written for beginners. Now I am a subscriber to FHB. I can use most of the information in FHB, but not the electrical wiring stuff. You do strange wiring in the US! In Europe, we use PVC tubing between the boxes, but I guess you know that already. I live about 1 hour west from Stockholm in Västerås.
No first hand experience, but I have heard people complain about the newer senco's you mentioned. Think the finish pro 35 seems to be a cheaper version of their other 15g trim gun (finishpro 41???). If I remember correctly, people loved the air free, but it just didnt last that long......broke down/apart after about 6 months.
Every time I haul out the compressor/ hose/ guns for something small I think about getting the paslode guns. Just cant justify the price just yet, but they are nice.
Never used the Dewalts.
