Need some input on this set of stairs that needs to be done. I’ve done lots of framed “straight stairs” as well as plenty of formed curved concrete stairs. anything I should be thinking about with these multiple sided steps?
would it be best to set up the 2 outside stringers for each set rather than figure out the adjusted run at the “joints”if I were to simply centre the stringers at the joints?
also there are a number of methods for hanging the stringers, what do you guys think would be the best approach. the stairs will most like be closed stringers – having risers.
PS sorry but the the pic size and affect on text layout. not sure how to change that.

I didn't know it was going to do that 'til after. is there an easy way to change it...I'll see if I can figure it out.
EDIT: ok..I got the displayed photo deleted. is that the only way..is there anyway to resize the pic?

I would center the stringers at the joints but I would double them up. This will mean extra work cutting more stringers but it gives more nailing surface.
Also, as far as hanging the stringers, I would just elongate (and brace) the face of that lower landing so as to accept a nice positive/strong connection with the stringers' plumb cut.
Great picture
Thanks Mike. I too thought of centering the stringers and doubling them at the joints, but can't think of the best way to calulate the adjusted run.
perhaps I'd have to set up the staight section the set up a mitred tread and site measure the lengh of run at the joint? I have no idea what the angles will be so I can't use a formula even if I had one, unless I gues I site measured the angle. You know a formula to use to get an adjusted run if I figure out the angle?
