Sheets made from sorghum stalks.
Tiles made from reclaimed coconut shells.
Also wheatboard and bamboo sheets.
Looks like this can be used for cabinets and walls and other decorative applications.

I like the picture of the stairway. I wonder if the stringer in the sorghum material is structural or facing...
Yah nice but what's it cost?
It looks so organic. The texture reminds me of a view of skin tissue through an electronic microscope! Perfect for medical office cabinets and furnishings =-0
I knew that the look seem familiar..

A greener alternative to plastics: liquid wood
"The bio-plastic dubbed Arboform, derived from wood pulp-based lignin, can be mixed with hemp, flax or wood fibers and other additives such as wax to create a strong, nontoxic alternative to petroleum-based plastics, according to its manufacturers."
I'm not sure if this is applicable outside the manufacturing site.
Here's a link to the company's website:

Maybe we'll be seeing more of this product in the future, time will tell.
If nothing else, it is an alternative to using foreign petroleum resources, plus it is made with hemp!
Everything Old is New Again. If I understand correctly a century ago composites where common. They where made from wood fiber and glue..
