3-phaser Breake, single pole, 120/230 volts.
I want me one of them there devices. It is a miracle of modern science that with one pole it can generate 3 phase 230 from 120 volts.
I think that is what is is does.

Saw a similar flier today as I caught up with the backlog of newspapers. Was thinking the same thing.
Three phase?!?!
And it, by the picture shown, looked far too narrow to hook on two, much less three, stabs.
Must be one of them 'miracles of modern technology' that a simple electrician can't quite understand. I feel so confused. LOL.
On the other hand a single slot breaker that could derive three phase power from a single leg of a single phase circuit would be quite a boon if it were real. No more need of expensive and touchy solid state synthesized three phase or bulky and inefficient rotary converters. Of course so would a magic electrical repair wand. Not holding my breath waiting for either one.
And the one phase it pulls from doesn't even have to provide any power to speak of, it is just a timing signal. Ponds and Flieschman have finally miniturized their cold fusion process. And repealed the 1st and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics to produce power from heat without a HX.David Thomas Overlooking Cook Inlet in Kenai, Alaska
Also, for 3 ph 120/230, SQRT (3) is redefined as 1.916666, so the device must work on "new math".
I want a magic electrical repair wand!

I remember as a kid in the 60's that we had an electrical genius type of guy here in town that manufactored in his barn a 3 phase converter. This invention of his would convert single phase power into 3 phase. My mother worked at the post office and this guy would come in an ship 100's of these things all over the country. He name was Ray Withey.
Actually, it's a cross between a tricorder and a phaser pistol, a la Star Trek. Since it runs on 120v AC, I'll wait for the cordless version.
