Can you post the link to Doncando's technique.
I went to my allotment, clicked on "click here if you think there is a mistake in calculating your allotment" or something like that.
And my allotment was restored to 1000 KB. I was down to 368 or something.
So does Don do a Picasa web album then copy and paste directly on to a post?
Rich
Rich ,
Yes thats it exactly . Take any Picasa photos and add to web albums , then just copy and paste from there .
Walter
Wow. Seems like a eureka moment for you guys discovering this way of posting pics. I have been doing it for a couple years now.
Yep, you can copy from any website (including photo hosting such as Picasa, Photobucket, Imageshack, etc.) that will act as a host, rather than using Taunton as your host site. It seems a lot easier to me, too.
Well we're behind the curve no doubt .
Didn't need to learn new tricks till the old way quit working .

Good evening
I can see where this would be a great advantage when doing a thread like the mighty Peneboscot.
Would this still save time if a guy was going to post 2-5 pictures?
I know it's a pain to upload to Taunton and then go thru the process of embedding the pics. Sometimes I get so bored and my mind wanders and I forget if I am supposed to Control C of hit revise. I just lose my place.
On another note Piffin has a thread with numerous bumps about getting people to use Infraview.
I tried about 2 years ago to upload the program ( my 1st venture into managing pictures on the computer) and I had problems uploading ( probably because of my limited puter understanding) so I got hooked up with Picasa.
You have used both. Which one do you like? Which on is easier?
I know the easiest one is the one you understand and know. LOL
Thanks for the photo threads. Life and work got pretty busy the last month and I kind of fell off the Penobscot thread. I just couldn't keep up.

Keep in mind that when you upload photos to Photobucket etc. that site will reduce the file size of your photos, otherwise it would take a very long time to import to the host site. For instance, most of my photos are in the 2-5 megabyte range (native size taken by camera), and when I upload to Photobucket they are reduced to 100-200kilobyte range file size. These small file sizes are perfect for posting on internet forums, but lack in resolution when/if you want to make prints of them, especially larger prints like 8x10 and over. So, I would suggest storing the originals on some kind of external storage device so that you'll have the full resolution available if you need it- make copies and send THOSE to the hosting site. I don't like the idea of storing those large files on my computer itself since it needlessly takes up space.
