I thought paslode had the only one on the market ( and I am happy with mine ) but while looking about for high pressure systems I found these-
this one from the hitachi site http://www.hitachi-koki.com/powertools/products/products.html
and this one from max
Both look a little like the paslode… I wonder if their patents are running out?
anyone used either of these? seen them in action? with hitachi and max’s rep for good tools I would be interested to hear a little about them as the sites give little info.

Fuel canister and battery sure seems much like the Paslode Impulse line.
Does make one wonder what is happening since Paslode been the dominant holder for such a long time.
Always wary of buying first model tools thinking there will be bugs needed to be worked out.
be a proud owner of a PorterCable Bammer gathering dust.

the max does/can use the fuel and nail from paslode. the battery is a 6v NiMH as opposed to paslodes NiCD. The max is identical to the Powers gas framer as well.
So far so good with mine. Only about 2500 nails through it.
I'm surprised that you'll admit to owning a bammer. I laughed when the tool guy (not our regular guy) showed me that "tool". The guy was so clueless he actually thought I was not understanding what it was he was showing me. It was a typical porter cable fiasco. PC is all about bean counting.

I was out of state and a job came up to place that wonderful 3 1/2 wide thin bigbox plastic wrapped style t&g on some ceilings in a cottage/cabin type affair.
'Course I'd read about it in my favorite magazine FHB. So went out and got one.
Have never heard a good explanation and never could figure out why the words 'Caution: Hot...yada yada' were embrossed on the nose cylinder, like the thing was supposed to pump and shoot nails so fast the friction could burn your hands.
Got me thinking about it so I went to see the wording and the gun isn't where I last remembered so it's lost. What a popular piece of shid.
be constantly amazed at the ignorance of man to buy a line.

IIRC, there were one or two other brands that initially came out about the same time as Paslode, but have since disappeared.
If ignorance is bliss why aren't more people
happy?
