Welcome Tom!
Jeff (also from NJ)
You're in West Milford, right?
Close to me and (fairly soon) Shep.
Hi, new guy. There's a bunch of BTers here from NJ. Oh, and one ex-NJer who lives on the west coast, and types funny, named bobbys.
If you feel like jumping in the deep end, we're having a lunch get-together on Sat., Feb. 21 at Tim Kerwin's Tavern in Middlesex, NJ. 12 noon. There's a thread over in the Fests folder.
What kind of work do you do?
edit to add- Never mind. I re-read your post. You're a siding contractor.

Are you uninviting him to the fest because he's a siding contractor?

Nah. I'm saying I should slow down a bit when I read posts. I sometimes miss important parts.

Welcome, Tom.
I spent from '79-92 in south Jersey (with a bunch of other temporary intermediate locales interspersed). Mostly in the Philadelphia area. My ex wife and my current gal (of 18 years) are from East Brunswick and Scotch Plains, respectively.
Where's West Milford?

Hey Tom-
Glad to see another West Milford person here. I'm currently redoing a little house over in Shady Lake for the wife and I to live in. Nice to know there are other locals who are interested in Fine Homebuilding (W.M. could certainly use some more of it!).
-Brian
my mom was from shady lake my dad grew up over by struble lane in apshwa by the bar there
Hey Brian,Do you know Shawn Morgan on Clubhouse, or Don Meletta on Poplar Grove?Glenn
Tashler-
I don't know them, but I've probably met them once or twice in the last few months. Since I'm on Poplar Grove, everybody drives by my place as they come and go each day. Unfortunately, that means I also get to hear "So when are you going to be finished?" or "How long have you been working on this house?" just about every day...

Hi Tom,

Virginia???.. Thats pretty far south.. Once one goes past Toms River its kinda no mans land. Is there any chance of escape???. Just kidding my friend moved there and likes it.
Talked to my folks, My Mom says her friend has 2 carpenters as neighbors, They have not worked in months in WMilford.
My folks live on Lindy lake.
Hope you have work
very quiet around here not much work going on...staying optimistic tho im in the process of giving a bid to reside ST joseph church don't know if your familiar with that
Welcome Tom. I used to visit Yoshimura East, in WM, about twenty-five years ago. Got to know several good mechanics and racers who worked at the shop.
I imagine that's a tough place to try to make a living, being mostly summer people and kind of remote too. On the other hand, it's not too far from more active and populous areas.
I believe my folks go to Church there.. Hope you get the job.
thanks very nice of you
I will ask my Mom when i talk to her but when they first went there father Michael judge was there priest. They liked him as did everybody.
Welcome Tom,
