Other than Tool Crib of the North, where can I buy decent carpentry tools online? And does anyone else have difficulty getting on to bestconstructiontools.com? Needs answers quick cuz I just got a bonus that I’m trying to keep a secret from you know who…it’s burning through my Carharts as we speak!

Put it in the bank for leaner times, learn to do more with less, it will increase your skill level, so you will gain more in the long run AND have more money to boot.
*diesel,Sevencorners has some stuff online but their catalog is awesome. Try http://sevencorners.woodmall.com/.Or http://www.trend-lines.com/KK
*Seven Corners still pays the shipping, too.
*Not trying to boost the thread, but whatever happened to William Alden? They sold a good, solid line of the best name brands, plus a lot of European brand Stanley tools you couldn't get here (chisels, planes, etc.). And, they had the biggest selection of jobsite stuff (lights, cords, first aid kits, kneepads, etc.). Finally, they had the best prices and shipping, and when you called, the people actually remembered you. Did they go out of business?
*Garret Wade has nice hand tools, if that's what you're looking for. $$$, but the quality is there.
*Lee Valley in Canada, will ship to the states I believe.
*Try Coastal Tools (coastaltools.com)
*For very good prices plus excellent shipping, try toolsforless.com
*Wm Alden did go out of business, early in 2000 IIRC.David
*Western Tools and Tools International never bought from them western well a few little items
*Do NOT use Maxtools.com. They claimed free shipping on orders over $100, but charged me. The "factory-reconditioned, factory-perfect" drill had the clutch setting numbers worn off and someone's intials wood-burned in. And the DeWalt flashlight was not the preferred model pictured but another one. Never again from them. -David
