NJ tool-aholics

Shep | Posted in Tools for Home Building on October 5, 2007 01:01am

Hey, all you tool junkies.-

AW Meyer, 509 Broad St., Ridgefield, NJ is having their annual Oc-TOOL-berfest sale and demo.

There’s a lot of good deals to be had. Just about every major manufacturer is there- Makita, Milwaukee, Hitachi, P-C, DeWalt, Bosch, MK, Leica, and too many more to list.

Tools reps are on hand to answer questions .

The hours are 11AM to 8PM Friday, October 5 and 9AM to 3PM Saturday, October 6.

The phone # is 201-945-5500

      Yup, you're right.

It actually part of Rt. 1&9

I love Octoolberfest!! I was actually disapointed with the rep show trucks this year, but I did snag great deals on a Senco pinner (free T-shirt too) and the new Bosch mini Impactor.

I missed the SawStop demo, but I figured it would just be a live viewing of the hot dog.

    ...that's not a mistake, it's rustic

This was my first year at OcTOOLberfest, but it won't be my last.

I mis-read the ad, and showed up at 10 AM Thurs., and was politely told that they didn't open until 11.

So I read the paper, listened to the radio, and sat in my van for an hour.

They also had free hot dogs and BEER, sorta hidden away in a corner.

Man, I missed that on Thurs.

I saw plenty of peanuts, tho.

Didn't spy the beer, although I saw the hot dog cart. What's with all the peanuts? The Husquevana (sp?) guys had candy bars out. Those went fast.

The actual store is really big compared to anything else in my area (expecially the HD tool carral). Thankfully, they don't have carts to load up.

I go with my FIL who gets a wrench and extension chords. My BIL could not come early with us, which is good. He is a bog tool junkie and we would have probably convinced each other to spend ridiculous amounts....that's not a mistake, it's rustic
