We noticed that our first floor wood flooring does not have any sub-floor beneath it. I have begun insulting our 1900’s bungalow crawlspace with some perimeter insulation and 6-mil vapor barrier on the dirt floor. The last step in this process would be to install some spray foam insulation along the foundation/ joist.
Should I install some un-faced batt insulation between the floor joist or leave the floor alone and rely on the perimeter insulation and VB? If I do install un-faced batt insulation what R value would be recommended? Thanks

I'd recommend housewrap stapled to the joists, to prevent air infiltration. You could place unfaced FG batts above that if you wanted. Unfaced bats without any covering will be largely useless, especially with the "holey" floor.
"I have begun insulting our 1900's bungalow crawlspace..."
yo mamma was a shack, n yo daddy was a pigpen?
If you do the rest right, you shouldn't need anything in the floor... but, where are you? and how tall is the crawl?
Now you see this one-eyed midget
Shouting the word "NOW"
And you say, "For what reason?"
And he says, "How?"
And you say, "What does this mean?"
And he screams back, "You're a cow
Give me some milk
Or else go home"
"yo mamma was a shack, n yo daddy was a pigpen?"
Cracked me up...can't stop laughing.................

I would leave the floor alone. The crawl space should be treated like a basement with the walls insulated and with vapour barrier. I have seen instances where the floor was insulated and that lead to problems with the insulation trapping moisture and causing problems with mould and rot.
