Some things that have worked for me :If you have top hung hangers you have to put a blob of subfloor adhesive on each one ,also if the joists span a middle bearing point the top flange has to be cut at the bearing point to stop heavy loads on one side lifting the other side.We also had a bad box of subloor adhesive one that wouldn,t set and created some interesting problems.Oh ya also if you have top hung hangers the joists could just be sitting in them with out the required toenails. I know this isn't any solutions but hope it helps. Rik

do you have teenagers??? might be an advantage.
Is there any way to tell us where the popping comes from?
Ply joints? joist ends? Glue joints?
Excellence is its own reward!
Piffin-The whole system pops.Where my bedroom is it`s a 16 ft span .Each end of the joist sits on a solid wall (16 o.c.)
Without being there to observe, I'm trying to reason this out by process of elimination.
Since the TJIs are on top of walls it cannot be from hanger stress.
does it POP under every step or just occasionally.
From what little I know, I'm leaning towards thinking that the construction adhesive didn't get a good bond for one reason or another. Maybe too cold, wet wood, too slow to nail down tight - any of these could give a partial bond that would creep and sqeek..

It could be that there are shiners, too. I know thats usually a squeak, but I've heard them pop before, too.
those little motorcycles that the shiners ride around on do make a popping noise, so I agree with caldwellbob.
Ok, go ahead and groan. sorry about that.
You have a finished floor installed, right?
What's making you think that it's the TJI/subfloor combo that's popping and not the finished floor...I'm guessing you have carpet?
Is it popping where you have carpet? Hardwood? Tile?
Is it popping everywhere, in a few rooms, or just one room?
Is the popping localized to one side of the main beam, or both?
Is the popping seasonal?
Does it occur all day long, or only when the floor has ocasional use?
Where the popping is happening, what is the total floor platform sammich made up of, from walking surface to whatever is on the bottom of the TJIs.
Please enclose a copy of your last pay statement, a copy of last year's W-2, and a blood sample.
As others have mentioned, a problem with adhesive is usually the main culprit.
