b Help!! – Noisy Neighbor Upstairs
> We live on the 1st floor of a 30 year old condo bldg. The floors in between are made of wood. Our upstairs neighbor walks heavily (heels 1st). The floors squeak and his steps make a loud thud above our heads.
> We are tearing down the drywall ceiling to correct the squeak – add insulation – and add any other material to create a sound barrier.
>Any advice you have would be helpful.
>We’ve also heard about some special clips (screwed into the plywood and joists) that can be used to draw the plywood and 2×6 joists together. If you have info on this – please write!
