Little known fact. There’s a web cam in the New Yankee workshop that they turn on when they’re filming. Ususaly they’re done for the day when I get home. Tonight they’re burning the midnight oil. It’s kind of cool to watch the show being taped. http://www.newyankee.com/yankeecam.php

just what other web cams do you find and watch?
He's not just watching them, he's researching for Gunnerthenudeconstructiondude.com
The Neil cam is my favorite.

What's the jail cam web site? I don't have it in my quick-links.FrankieThe first rule of Fight Club is - you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is - you DO NOT talk about Fight Club. Third rule of Fight Club, someone yells Stop!, goes limp, taps out, the fight is over. Fourth rule, only two guys to a fight. Fifth rule, one fight at a time, fellas. Sixth rule, no shirt, no shoes. Seventh rule, fights will go on as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule, if this is your first night at Fight Club, you have to fight.

Around 1700 or so, the live dispatcher audio can be more interesting (gives a nice hint of when they're bringing some one to Booking, too).Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
whats he workin on?
At he bottom of the screen they give a schedule. May 4th and 5th is stuff for the shop.
Who Dares Wins!
I tried watching a couple times, but it never changed from a guy standing at the corner of a table. 6 something pm.
Quality, Craftsmanship, Detail
Yea it ended at that time. They leave the last one up.
Who Dares Wins!
It seems that they are working again now. Not sure what they are working on yet. But this is pretty cool, I did not know that this exsited. Thanks.
Wade
According to the schedule it Wood Shop Devices. I guess that his jigs and aids.Checked the local PBS schedule it it will be on here after 3 beg-a-thones and 2 auctions.
Guy in the corner looks like Morash..the series executive producer.
In migrating around the shop, it occured to me...is there a shop power tool that Norm DOESN'T own??
BruceM
How does he keep his shop so clean?
I doubt if Norm cleans the shop........they probably have flunkys for stuff like that. - lol
I wonder if they would let me use that wide belt sander for an hour? I have 14 raised panel doors to sand today and that thing would make quick work of them. - lol
Took a look Thurs. AM...some girl in a not-to-flattering pose. Got an itch?PJ
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
Maybe, if you ask real nice and agree to clean the shop....
Wouldn't work, Griff. I'd also have to figure out how to travel 3000 mi each way and not blow the budget to hellandgone. - lol
The guy running around in the kneepads is probably the flunky.
Who Dares Wins!
What about this, I actually saw some dirt and saw dust on the floor and saw area. And it really looks like he really does some of the work himself.
Wade
And here I thought Norm worked alone. He ain't no Superman!
AHA! Caught the flunkies cleaning the shop for him (scrap bin & people weren' there a min ago). Man, wouldn't THAT be great! Make as big a mess as you want and somebody follows you around and cleans it up.

AHA again! Someone with a vacuum cleaning up! Just think how much work you could get done if you didn't have to clean up afterwards.

If you look in the archives, you can see a guy with a shop apron going around and setting up machines before Norm uses them.

Gaaaawd! Doesn't set up, doesn't clean up... If it gets any worse, he'll have someone to line the piece up so that he just has to walk up and lower the blade. Wheeeew! Tough day! :)

Yeah, but you can be a lot more productive if you don't have to keep the shop clean for the video (or to keep potentially damaging dust out of the $3000 beta handi-cam).Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
John --- that's called a laborer on a union job and he makes $29 / hour plus bennies is this a great country :) BUIC
never paid attention to this... great suggestion...Thanks!! They're filming right now.
