You will regret it. Just get the Ryobi if you want cheap. Ridgid is much better, lifetime warrenty, and almost as cheap.

I don't think Ridgid has a life time warranty on electrical tools; it they do I don't think they would honor it. In the last 25 years I haven't seen them honor any so-called "LIFETIME" guarantees. BTW I'm still a fan of Ridgid.
This is new, you have to save your UPC on the package and send it in. You are on their system after that. I havent tried it out yet, but batteries are included under the warrenty!Rebuilding my home in Cypress, CA

Sounds good to me, hope it works. I still would like to see where someone had them honor the "Lifetime Warranty".
I have seen the Home Depot honour the Rigid Warranty. I was pretty impressed. I don't like them because they are so heavy. Must admit I was tempted thow. Good warranty and the drills have amazing torque.

Home Depot is liberal on warantees. I just have never seen a real lifetime guarantee on a electrical tool.
I actually witnessed it! The contractor sales desk tried to sell it to me after it was repaired (still with a lifetime warranty). I have found them to pretty reliable for warranty repair or replacement on any item I have purchased throught the store. Perhaps you should try shopping in Southern Ontario, Canada. Perhaps you'll have better luck.

Sam's club has them...
go look 1st...
a couple of posters xame in and said they only got a few hours of work out of them or something like that...
they were unhappy campers..

I was tired of having so many expensive cordless drills burn out so often so when I needed a new one I bought a pair of Kawasakis at Costco for about 40 bucks apiece. They do not have the high end torque of some of the other drills. They have just enough torque to sink a screw but not break off the head of a drywall screw. They do have multiple torque settings that work fine. They are light and comfortable. They came with a bunch of drill bits and drivers. They have a little leveling bubble too. I threw away the bulky cases. The battery charge seems to last as long as any others I have used.
These drills are fine for 99% of the work I use them for. I still use a power drill when I need high speed and real power.
I have about 20 drills and most of them have cords. The Kawasakis are used daily. I have had them for about 6 months now. So far so good.
thanks... i just got it yesterday... i know it's made for what i do... (wear stuff out) but... for the price with 2 batteries... and the bits ect... oh and it has a light (led) that shines where the end of your bit is... kinda cool...
i have a min of 40 dead or near dead 18v dewalt batteries... (strange that my 14.4 is older than all my 18v stuff and is still good)
so if nothing else i can leave this at the lake house... it cost less than one dinner out...
thanks for all the input...

Don't waste you money, it's crap! Go buy ryobi if your're looking for cheap. At least you can use your batteries on more than one tool and you can get replacement batteries. It's a good tool for a Home Owner. I even know some contractors like them because they are cheap to replace.
