Subject: Bathroom Fixtures
Say that your DW ups and says that when you take the rotten paper off the master bath wall that she’d like her towel bar to be extended from 18″ to 24″ just like yours is? We have separate but not apparently equal towel bars. She actually needs this, as her shower is usually two towels and two wash cloths, and mine is half that. Where do you start after the initial panic? The fixtures were pretty expensive and are about thirteen years old, chrome over brass. The only required replacement would be a chrome bar, 3/4″ in diameter and 24″ long. Rather than go to the city desk of our local plumbing supplier, I went on line to Gatco, the original manufacturer. They referred me to Eqwip.com, and I found what I needed. Reasonable price, and it came in two days. My endorsement to them.

Wouldn't it be easier to swap showers?
Then swmbo would have the longer towel bar.
Wondering the same question. Seems like life would have been simplilar!
And even if you can't swap showers, trade your towel bar for hers.
I won't be laughing at the lies when I'm gone,
And I can't question how or when or why when I'm gone;
I can't live proud enough to die when I'm gone,
So I guess I'll have to do it while I'm here. (Phil Ochs)
fake it,,,
we all can come wit reasons why it won't work.
can't drill a new hole because there are pipes/wire in that area.
won't look "balanced"
can't seem to find a longer bar that fits that model.
"Oh, I forgot"
or spend time doing something else for her (Nah, that one won't work)
My DW has 2 towel bars and a ring. So quit you whining.. ;-)
I've managed to convince my wife that four inches is actually six inches, so maybe I can do the same with her towel bar.
So, 4 inches is the new 3 inches?
