We’ve got a barn built in 1930 trying to fix up for some horses.
The siding is all in good shape, heart pine or hickory, hard to tell. But has some large gaps between the boards. Trying to figure out how to close up those gaps?
Siding is horizontal, not sure if you can even do batten on horizontal boards? Or if we should pull of the boards and run the vertical with batten??
Any other ideas/help/input is really appreciated.

Can you get at the backside of the siding? And how sealed are you wanting?
Barns here in Ohio were never completely sealed up. Barn cats for critter invasion. Tack room for the valuables.
